MINDFUL MAY

 

Grosvenor Place is celebrating Mindful May with weekly Mindfulness Masterclasses.

Each Wednesday in May, we will be exploring the art of Meditation as a journey through the senses. Each session will focus on different senses to fine tune our awareness, and provide a deeply meditative experience discovered through sensory awareness exercises, a variety of meditation techniques, and guided relaxation time.

Week 1: Taste / Smell
Wednesday, 5 May from 12 to 12.45pm
A guided meditation exploring our senses of taste & smell:

  • Breath exercises using aroma therapy
  • Guided sensory meditation
  • Mindful eating, exploring food through the senses
  • Guided relaxation 

Week 2: Touch
Wednesday, 12 May from 12 to 12.45pm
A guided meditation exploring our sense of touch, cultivating bodily awareness:

  • Movement meditation 
  • Breath exercise
  • Yoga Nidra (reclined body scan for deep relaxation)

Week 3: Hearing
Wednesday, 19 May from 12 to 12.45pm
A guided meditation exploring our sense of hearing:

  • Breath exercise
  • Guided relaxation to binaural beats
  • Experiencing silence: the space in between sound

Week 4: Sight
Wednesday, 26 May from 12 to 12.45pm
A guided meditation exploring our sense of sight:

  • Open eye meditation 
  • Eye gazing exercise (sharing)
  • Guided inner visualisation meditation
