BEAR COTTAGE – SUPER HERO DAY!

Grosvenor Place Management are proud to support IMC and their Superhero day initiative.  In 2015, one of IMC’s employees noticed the great work that Bear Cottage did and has been driving Superhero day at IMC ever since. This employee personally donates $200 for every IMC staff member who dresses up and IMC donates an additional $500 per employee on top of this. Last year, 74 employees and 10 children dressed up for this cause.

On the 28 July, 2017, IMC will be holding their annual Superhero day, which will see their office staff come to work dressed as their favourite Superheros.

Bear Cottage is a ‘home away from home’ providing the best medical care and support for terminally ill kids so families can focus on making every living moment count. The only children’s hospice in NSW, Bear Cottage provides vital respite and end-of-life care for children with terminal illnesses and their families. For these special kids there is no happy ending or miracle cure. That’s why Bear Cottage is so important. Take a look at the following links which highlight all the amazing work that is done at bear cottage:

How can you get involved?

Grosvenor Place Management and IMC would like to encourage other firms within Grosvenor Place to participate in this wonderful initiative. This year, IMC will include Grosvenor Place Management employees in the sponsorship to the amount of AUD$700 per employee that dresses up on the 28 July, 2017.

Some ideas for other firms within Grosvenor Place include:

  • Encouraging staff to dress-up as Superheros and make a corporate donation
  • Nominate managers / team mates to dress up should sufficient funds be raised
  • Put on fundraising events for employees
  • Contribute funds to collection boxes around Grosvenor Place or online at bearcottage.chw.edu.au/donate

We encourage all firms to participate in Bear Cottages fundraising campaign, the annual Superhero Week – from 23 to 29 July, 2017. This is an important week and a vital opportunity to raise awareness about the courageous patients and families who rely on Bear Cottage’s care.
